Meet Dan
Hello! I'm Dan, owner and DJ for Groove is in the Heart. I was born in Manchester, England but I've lived in Australia for the last 6 years. I've been DJing for almost 20 years starting off in my bedroom before progressing to house parties, bars, clubs, lounges, terraces, pool parties...and now I do special events for awesome people like you!
For me, being a great DJ is all about reading the room and playing the perfect song at the perfect moment to get everybody singing along and throwing their best shapes on the dance floor. There's nothing better for me than seeing a bunch of people dancing their night away with a big smile on their face and forgetting that anything else matters.
Coming from a club background I have a very good technical understanding of how to play and mix songs, and having rad parents (dad was a punk rocker, mum was a disco queen) means that I have a very eclectic taste in music.
I've got you covered whatever your taste, and can cater to almost every crowd with tracks in the library spanning decades and genres from hip hop, house, pop, dance, disco, soul, rock, and a whole heap more.
